I had some very honest chats with 3 different friends today who all happen to be creative entrepreneurs. Two things struck me following those conversations. Firstly, the common themes amongst us in terms of the highs and lows of being self employed and following your passion. Secondly, the fact that these days I find myself surrounded by people on the same path as me – discovering their purpose and working hard towards their vision.
The law of attraction states that ‘like attracts like’ so positive thoughts attract positive results and so on. The reverse is also true. So, it is no surprise that I am attracting people into my life who are determined to live consciously, who strive for a healthy and optimistic mind-set, who are spiritually awakening and who are being lead by their heart. Equally, what we struggle with is similar. A common theme of overwhelm is present in each of us, to varying degrees and for different reasons, but we understand each-other none-the-less. We each also know and have proof that we have every reason to trust and that we have the tools to cope with all we encounter because we share a deep sense of self and sense of being held and unconditionally loved by a source far greater than ourselves.
I love it when I can point out concrete examples of how laws such as attraction work. These laws feature in my workshops and there is nothing better than offering up personal experiences which validate my beliefs. With a workshop around the corner I guess I am attracting these examples to prove to myself that what I am teaching is authentic and from the heart!
One of my conversations today was with a very talented designer, Rozynna Fielding. We have so much in common – in particular, the overwhelm around having SO many ideas and SO much inspiration and not knowing where to start. We both have piles of notes, sketches, cuttings, workbooks etc – all ideas and visions that we don’t want to forget and are keen to progress. When in a creative phase we both are kept awake at night by ideas for new designs and workshops and new avenues of business….. We had a lot to talk about…..!
Rozynna showed me the collection she is going to launch at ‘Pulse’ (10th-12th June at Earl’s Court, London) and it blew me away. I simply had to share it with you. It is so beautiful and I have a feeling she is going to do very very well with it. High-end retail buyers would be crazy not to stock her products – they are divine.
