Note to self…(because sometimes we all need a reminder!)
I was working with a client who had a habit of needing to be in control and she was exhausted by it.
It was a self protection thing.
Subconsciously, being in control of everything and everyone had her feel safe.
The irony was that the need to be in control was making her sick and she had lived with a debilitating medical condition that had her ache, be tired and depressed for around 30 years as a result. Nothing safe about that!
Of-course she didn’t know this was going on until we shone a light on it.
Now she doesn’t suffer with the medical condition and she has come off her anti-depressants.
Now her daily intention is to relax, let go and be happy.
Now she knows that she is fundamentally held and safe.
She knows that she is enough, just as she is.
She doesn’t have to be in charge of anything other than choosing to make happiness her momentum.
She has chosen to love herself, no matter what.
