I am on a bit of a mission just now, investigating the art of receiving.

I have been getting Universal prods left, right and centre for some time and since January it has really upped the anti.

There is no denying it. It is time for me to learn how to receive.

It sounds simple. And yet that has not been my experience at all!

It sounds joyful. And yet it has felt frustrating. 

And now I am aware I potentially sound like spoiled, petulant child. I mean, if my challenge is to receive, I am one lucky girl, right? What an assignment!

I have had some big assignments over the years. The evolution of my soul has been quite a journey with some real biggies to learn. Self-Love and Self-Worth being really big nuts to crack. And what an awesome pleasure it has been to be cracked so wide open…..

Receiving is clearly tied into feeling worthy, right! Clearly there is some more cracking to be done and more worth to be discovered. Like an onion, we are layered beings. My current assignment is to uncover another layer or two.

Wow, could my Self-Love deepen? 

Love is everything. Love is source. Love is that intangible nothing and yet something that breathes between the spaces of the atoms of all that is. And it is the substance that is. It is who we are. It connects us all. It is a living, intelligent energy. It’s divine purpose is to expand and grow. Just as we Spirits are continuously challenged to expand and grow. We are love; because everything is.

So, I ask myself again. Could my Self-Love deepen? Well, of-course!

Ask any parent on the birth of their second child if their love expanded to encompass the new baby. They all say the same thing, even on the birth of their third, fourth, fifth…. love expands. It is miraculous. Just when you think you couldn’t possibly love any more, more comes. It is endless.

Love is abundant. There will always be enough. It is always available to us.

Our choice is to choose it! To let fear go and claim all that we are, all that is and all that is in-between. Love.

Love love love love love love love love love love love love love love love ……..

And so today I choose love.

I choose to be worthy of love.  (tweet it!) 

Of course I am worthy. There is no power sat on a cloud judging me not to be! The judge is in my head. The decision is mine.

If all is love and by its very nature love desires us to expand and grow and be the most loving and loveable versions of ourselves, then of-course I can receive love.

There is no question at all around this! The question is defunct!

The question doesn’t exist.

I am love. So I receive love.  (tweet it!)

Questions around worthiness and receivership are an illusion. A construct of the mind. The ego, if you will.

I can laugh when I ask myself, “How do I receive?”

It’s a non-question.

I am love. Therefore I receive it. And I give it. And more comes. And I am expanded in love and by love and for love.

Are you tripping out? I am a little. And my fingers are tingling and my very being is expanding. My soul is like, “f-i-n-a-l-l-y!!!”.

The assignment I have been set hasn’t been the ‘job’ I thought. I don’t really have to do anything, except to receive this knowledge!

Ah….but I love an assignment….with a gold star and merit certificate attached at the end….!

And so, I am setting myself the most wonderful daily assignment of witnessing the art of receiving.

My default is to be lead rather sternly by my masculine energy. It serves me in many ways; not least as a single woman with a child it serves to motivate and drive me to provide for us, run a business, clear the gutters…..!

My feminine energy is where receivership is at. This is where I can go to witness the beauty that is receiving.

For the next 21 days, I will receive love in it’s myriad ways.

I have an alarm set on my phone with the lunch-time affirmation,

“I receive with feminine ease and grace”  (tweet it!)     

I commit to a daily ritual of sitting in the presence of love.

I will Instagram my daily experience and capture a moment of receivership. Whether it be love in the form of beauty, wisdom, a child, a man, a friend, art, nature, laughter, style, play …..

I choose to witness love in all things and to experience the truth that it is for me, of me and with more to come.

I choose to drink it up. There is more than enough!

In experiencing this receivership we open our eyes to the abundance in all things. All of which is totally available to us.

We are not limited in any way. We can have all that we desire, and then some.

It is our right.

We are Daring and Mighty!

P.S. Why 21 days? Apparently it takes about 21 days to create new memory patterns or a new habit. And, apparently it is easier to develop new habits if we focus on developing one at a time. So, I am choosing to experience the art of receiving for the next 21 days in the belief that it will become second nature. Experiencing abundance will become my new normal. Now, who doesn’t want that!
