As my time in Australia draws to a close, I am feeling very reflective so thought to create a reel of my time in Sydney last week.
When I sat to do my annual ritual of reflecting on the year that has been and visioning for the year to come, the clear message I received from my soul was to ‘stop’. Every time I asked what 2023 was about for me the word I heard was ‘stop’.
Hand on heart, I am still battling a little with that word!
My head is struggling to understand how to slow down my business when the conditioning to do and create and be active in my workspace runs soooooo deep.
But my heart and soul KNOWS why this pause is being asked of me. I am in that uncomfortable space of allowing my head to catch up!
My soul knows that I need to create space for what life knows is for me this year.
Planning from my head will get in the way of life’s plan!
My trip to Australia at the last minute was only possible because I stopped and trusted in life.
When my girlfriend told me she had to start cancer treatment in Perth and would be alone it was SO EASY for me to say I would fly there to be with her because I had nothing in the diary stopping me. I also have a very supportive and loving husband and son who have held down the fort (AKA – our fur babies) and encouraged me to go!
I have been craving time with my family in Sydney so life’s invitation to Perth allowed me to include time with them.
What a gift!!!
I believe women need time to themselves. Quality time to re-group, re-centre and re-calibrate. It’s a basic self-care piece all women must prioritise.
I also believe that women need time with their sisters and the people who have them feel connected to their roots. It’s a belonging piece that reconnects us with who we truly are.
And I believe that women need time with their feet on the earth and in the sea. Our feminine essence is brought back to life by Mother Nature.
This trip has given me all of this in spades.
Slowly slowly I can feel I am settling back into my true self so that when the time comes and I am called, I will be serving in my business with true passion and heart.
So while it was my friend’s health journey that instigated this trip (and that has instigated so many other gifts in so many other people, including my friend), it’s the grand maestro of life that is conducting my every move. And I am learning to trust that even more.
I’ll do a reel of my time in Perth when it completes. For now, please enjoy my memories of Sydney.
The place I call home.
