DISNEYLAND – PART 2

Mum and boy on rollercoaster

What can I say? An absolutely magical day, in every way. You know, people say Disneyland is magical for the kids. It is. But I would argue that it is even more magical for the parents watching their kids. I was really taken by watching parents take pictures of their children with various Disney characters. They were absolutely mesmerised. Far more so than the kids. Finn was so excited to meet all the characters today but I was the one trying to hold the tears back. To see him that happy was just brilliant and I reckon all the other parents about me were feeling the same. I have particularly enjoyed watching dads really get into the spirit of Disney, letting go of anything remotely macho, allowing themselves to be swept away by the magic, their hearts melting. Wonderful!

We had a wonderful day. Did all the rides we wanted except for one because the temperature was below -1, so it closed. It really was freezing. But, it kept the crowds away! We even managed a stint in the pool and jacuzzi, which kept me happy! Win win all round.

Looking forward to another day of it tomorrow. Bloody loving my Bag List. This is great…!
