IT’S NEVER DULL

Well, it’s been all go go go here at Daring & Mighty HQ! It’s never dull in my world, that’s for sure.

The last 7 days has seen me pushed WAY outside my comfort zone. I mean, seriously out of my depth. I guess you don’t start a business called Daring & Mighty and expect to get away with an ‘easy’ life, huh! As terrifying as it has been, I am pleased to report that the Universe has supported me in ways I never could have dreamed of and I have smashed through major personal barriers and proved to myself that the scary obstacles were just ‘stories’ in my head.

This week I started writing a business plan. Now, many of you are probably scratching your head and wondering why the hell I didn’t do that 18 months ago. Thing is, the very thought of it has petrified me for a variety of reasons. The thought of the business stagnating or worse, losing my business because it isn’t making an income petrified me more and pushed me into action. As much as fear can hold us back, there’s nothing like cold hard fear to give you the kick up the butt you need! All this time I didn’t think I was a procrastinator. I was really kidding myself. I have been the queen of procrastination in terms of taking proper control of my business and its direction. Anyway, I have been working hard on the vision for Daring & Mighty and as my plans are taking shape, the Universe is sitting up and listening. Finally I have a strategy. Finally I have direction. Finally all my ideas are becoming cohesive and sensible. It’s really exciting. Far from frightening!

This week I also ran my first ‘Art of Affirmations’ workshop at Koorana. Watching the transformation of six people in such a short space of time was wonderful. When asked how they each felt at the end of the workshop they told me, “lifted, inspired, optimistic and excited”. They did indeed leave looking far brighter and lighter than they arrived. What a pleasure it was to work with each of them!

Since stopping writing my blog every day I have found myself being a little more spontaneous socially and generally enjoying my evenings more. So much more, actually! I have caught up on a bit of TV too! Funnily enough, I have only had one comment from someone missing the daily blog and only a couple of comments from people supporting me going weekly. All in all, I think I was far more worried about it’s regularity than anyone else! It was an experience trying to write every day. I’m pleased to have moved into Chapter Two though. Feels far more balanced and is already allowing me to use my energy more productively.

Here’s looking forward to an equally productive week……
