Three weeks ago a friend of mine asked if I wanted to meet up once a week to meditate. I jumped at the idea. So, we have begun a weekly ritual. She comes to my place. I burn frankincense & light candles. We chat and drink herbal tea. Then, we sit together in meditation. This is followed by more conversation and warm goodbyes. I am usually already in my PJ’s so hit the sack early and enjoy a deep sleep on the back of my healing meditation. It’s lovely.

 

Not only is our new ritual cathartic in that it allows us to meet in a calm, tranquil space and talk about what is real, the meditations are having a profound affect on my life. The synchronicities, opportunities and learning has been incredible. And, immediate. So, I have started practicing a short meditation every day. I used to do this but lost the flow and allowed life to get in the way. As chance would have it (although, we know there is no such thing!), a friend invited me into a virtual forum where women who meditate daily inspire & encourage each-other to continue the practice. Perfect! And wow, hasn’t this upped the ante…..!

 

When I talk about ‘opportunities’ opening up, I don’t just mean in a positive business sense. I also mean self learning and healing opportunities which have been incredibly profound. Tough at times but I know that on the back of deep self knowing and the pain it can bring also comes beautiful growth. Bring it on!

 

I have discovered that I almost need to be careful what I wish for too. The universe hears me! One day I was saying that running my own business was tough and maybe I should just go and ‘work in a shop’. The following week, I did my first 4 hour shift. The universe knew that my heart wasn’t into the idea of packing in my business though, so the ‘shop’ is a gallery & cafe which now has a concession selling my artwork and product range. Not only do I get to work in a retail environment and chat to customers which I love and is a fabulous change of scene but I get to meet ‘my customers’ and connect with people who are on the same path of wanting to live a Daring & Mighty life, in their own way. Perfect!

 

I felt compelled to write today on the back of a list of synchronicities which blew me away yesterday. All seemingly little things but to me a big deal and when stacked together there was no denying that the Universe had my back.

 

Let me preface this by saying that when I meditate I set intentions and state what I need and want in my life. I open myself up to receiving too. My vibration is also steadily rising through my practice. So, what I received yesterday was the ‘help’ I had asked for. My vibration was sky high on the back of my meditation, acts of service, gratitude and generally ensuring that my heart and head were in synch. Perhaps I shouldn’t be surprised by how the Universe delivered, especially given my efforts, and yet I am still flabergasted.

 

My car has ‘issues’ at the moment but my friendly local mechanic has been sorting it out. When at his garage yesterday, I looked across at his wall of tools and remembered that I needed to buy myself a couple of sets of allen keys for display stands I have had made for my Christmas Markets. I was thinking I needed the allen keys for staff I had working for me next week. I mentally added this to the very long ‘to do’ list in my head and sighed. I looked to the other side of his workshop and commented on the lovely car parked there. Turns out the car belonged to the father of the girl working for me next week, who needs the allen keys. Small world! I told my mechanic who immediately produced all the tools I needed, on loan for as long as I need them. Perfect! Then, a van pulled into the garage with a delivery of rat poison (random!). I got chatting to the delivery guy about the mice in my bedroom ceiling – another job on my lengthy ‘to do’ list (mental sigh). He immediately produced a bag of poison (sorry to the mice lovers out there, but I have not had a decent night’s sleep in some time!) with instructions on what to do. No charge. I nearly fell over with gratitude. My mechanic then grabbed some ‘smellies’ to help the stench in my bedroom (yep, some mice have already died up there of natural causes…..am guessing the others are having a wake because there is a party going on every night!) and some pain killers for my ‘lack of sleep’ headache. As I was about to leave, garbling gratitude for all the help & kindness, he stopped and pointed out a rolled up red carpet. He said, “you know, if we can’t sort out your car, I will lend you my magic carpet!”. I nearly fell over. Whenever I experience synchronicity and help from the universe, I refer to the experience as being a ride on my ‘magic carpet’ (ref MZ!). It was a clear message from the Universe that she has my back. I know she is clearing the path around some big self learning just now, but she was telling me that she will help me with the small stuff too.

 

Loads of other incredible stuff happened this week. From my neighbours kindly clearing my drive of leaves (another job on the ‘to do’ list!) to work colleagues helping me out above and beyond the call of duty to incredible opportunities of resolution, learning and growth. Not least an opportunity to spend a weekend in tuition with Dr Joe Dispenza!! Ah! Bring it on!

 

I am loving the more regular practice of silencing my mind and opening the lines of communication between my higher self and the Universe. Not only does that time of connection make me feel wonderful when I am in it, it is also having a profound affect on my day-to-day life.
