I’VE BEEN DAXED!

In Australia, dacks are trousers or pants. So, to be ‘daCKed’ is to have your pants pulled down. The playground antics reverse of a wedgie. Catches you unawares. Kinda unnerving.

Well, today I was daXed! Same but different. No dacks were dropped but I was taken by surprise – the universe was reminding me of her playfulness and not to forget that she is always watching, always ready to remind me of where I am at and why.

While on my stand at The Vitality Show I got chatting with a guy who seemed interested in my artwork. Turned out it was Dax Moys – author of The Magic 100. I will never forget my best mate, Jennie HK, telling me about the goal setting programme she had just completed. She said to me, ‘Katie, I feel like I am walking about with a secret and not sure how to share it’. I was intrigued and immediately bought this apparently life changing programme so I could share in her ‘secret’, hoping that I too could discover the tools to create an inspired life. I actually never finished the programme. I got stuck only a couple of days in, on the ‘relationship’ section where I literally could not put pen to paper. The block was immense. I have never felt so frustrated. I discovered my dissatisfaction in that area of my life was so overwhelming that I couldn’t even write or speak about it. I knew that I needed to sort it out and set upon a crusade to do just that. It’s a story I have told to many people – including women in my workshops – and although I never finished the ‘Magic 100’ I genuinely attribute much of my motivation to doing something about my dissatisfaction to Dax’s programme. How wonderful to meet him by ‘chance’ today and tell him this story. And, how equally wonderful to meet him knowing that we are on the same page – both deeply committed to living an authentic life, sharing our experiences with others, warts ‘n all.

I am intrigued now about his new ‘Unstoppable’ coaching programme. Sounds so very daring and mighty! When I know more I will share it with you.

For now, I am just enjoying the afterglow of wonderful serendipity. Dax – you are daring and you are mighty. Glad we met.
