This week I would like to invite you to listen to your feelings because they are how your Spirit tells you whether you are on track or not. I want you to honour and express how you feel too because when you don’t you are creating volatile moods, sleepless nights, depression, decreased sex drive, bad skin, disease….need I go on!?

Feel Your Feelings
Today I would like to give you permission to feel what you feel. (Perhaps it’s a relief to read that!)
Depression results from repressing emotion. You can’t selectively switch off the feelings that you think will hurt or be embarrassing or that you simply don’t have time for. Nope! When you push down those babies you are also pushing down your joy, delight and happiness.
And I know you just want to be happy, right!?
You can’t heal a broken heart from your head. You can’t think yourself happy. A positive thought or affirmation simply isn’t enough. You have to feel through to the other side – where I guarantee happiness awaits you.
You can’t heal your shame using your head either. Believing that you are damaged or not good enough cannot be intellectually fixed. It’s a deep, core wound that needs to be felt to be healed. As you experience and feel your pain you connect with the most wise and loving part of you that ‘just knows’ you are enough. That you are perfect.
Our beautiful minds (the home of the ego) think they have all the power but the truth is that your deepest healing is the function of the heart (the home of your compassionate Spirit) and we move into the heart (and outta the head) through feeling. We can forgive ourselves and others when we enter the heart too. It’s our ultimate liberation.
So, today I invite you to plan some sacred time just for you. Carve out time and put it on your calendar. Create safe and private space just for you where you can cry, scream, stomp, whimper, shout. Get out of your head and allow your body to release that energy. Move it. Set it free. Feel your way to the other side.
Feeling IS healing.
Remember, self-love is self responsibility. Love yourself enough to honour and express all that you feel.
