{LOVE NOTE} Reclaim Your Pleasure

Again and again I witness women transform from exhausted, martyred and unfulfilled to feeling full of energy and vibrancy with an overflow to joyfully give to others.

How do they do that?

They CHOOSE pleasure, fun and joy.

Feeling good becomes their new daily intention!

They learn how to put themselves first.

Historically, being feminine hasn’t been accepted by our patriarchal society. Indeed, even in this modern day and age of women’s equality, being connected to your feminine nature is largely not perceived as ‘normal’.
That said, thankfully we are evolving as a society and more and more people are teaching on this subject. Thank God! Quite frankly, the world simply ‘aint working because we are skewed toward the masculine of doing, pushing, striving, controlling, comparing, success, rushing and aggressively wanting more. As a result, as a species we have pushed ourselves and our planet to the brink of exhaustion – we have raped the environment and pushed and pushed out of fear of scarcity and an addiction to having more money, more power and more control.

The School of Self Love is commited to helping women break these patriarchal patterns and make desire, pleasure, fun, play and femininity the norm! It’s about leaning into the very powerful feminine nature within each of us (man and woman) to be guided by intuition, to use our senses, to value self nurturing and calm and space, to hook into our innate creativity, to trust that we are abundant and that scarcity doesn’t actually exist, to surrender and be vulnerable knowing that there is enormous power within both.

We teach women to slow down and trust that stopping doesn’t mean you are blocking your goals and desires. The reverse is true – you will be allowing them to come in with ease and grace as you learn to trust your intuition and be guided by Source energy.

Today I invite you to embrace joy, fun, play and pleasure because the energy of that is far more powerful than pushing and controlling. Even though at first it will feel counterintuitive!

We live in a society that values hard work and achievement and external validation. That’s a habit. We have a long history of religious rule and puritanical values that shame being feminine and enjoying pleasure and fun. Women were once even burned for having a connection to their deep feminine connection.

We carry the wounds of generations and generations of women before us that were victimised and controlled and made to feel ‘less than’ by men.

Through social conditioning our habit is not to show emotion and to do it all and as a result we feel alone and exhausted. We push down and repress our emotions and wonder why we feel like we are going crazy! Not to mention the illness that results from ignoring our feelings.

We are not meant to do it alone. Women in particular are meant to gather and support each-other – we thrive in sisterhood!

We’ve learned to push through rather than relax and enjoy pleasure but the truth is miracles happen when you are in a place of pleasure – i.e. connection to yourself, your inner wisdom, your truth.

Every time we say we don’t have time and have too much to do OVER self-care, we put ourselves in a place of disempowerment and it’s time for that to stop!

The truth is, your life WILL NOT fall apart if you allow yourself to have pleasure and fun. The opposite is true.

I implore with you to make feeling good a daily priority. Please create some time to feel into what in life brings you fun, pleasure and joy and then commit to doing something from that list every day.

Deal!?

Love you,
Katie
