The Power Of Intention

It never ceases to amaze me how transformative your intention is. I watch ladies that work with me, learning the art of being Daring & Mighty, often experience such profound change within days of our first workshop simply through setting an intention.

As consciously aware adults, in every moment we have a choice. We can decide how we want to feel, how we want to respond, how we want to behave, what we want to do next. You get the drift. Everything is your choice. It’s all about making a decision.

The first choice you have is to decide whether you want to take the control back for your life? Tune in to where you are at in your life, right here, right now. Are you happy with the way you feel in the day-to-day? Are you fulfilled? Are you designing a life you are proud of? What does your gut tell you? If there is anything you feel needs to change – no matter what it is – you can make the decision right now to make improvements. You may not know ‘how’ to make the changes. The idea of change might even feel scary. But if you make a decision that you feel strongly about, know that you are telling the Universe – a power so much greater than us – that you mean business. You are saying in no uncertain terms that you are done with the way things are and are ready to take your life to the next level. The Universe will support you. You have set an intention and you will be astonished at how the Universe delivers. Don’t get me wrong, you do need to take action. You can’t sit on your bum and expect your life to alter overnight. However, you can ask that the Universe guide you. You will be shown ‘the how’ through intuitive gut feelings, synchroniciites and external messages (if you choose to notice them). The energy you need to support your intention will be given to you too – if your desires are to your highest will and good.

Take my Grandad for instance. After 70 odd years of marriage, when Grandma died he knew he had a choice. He could have just given up but, at the age of 92, he decided he still had a lot of living left to do. He grieved for a period of time. In fact, he made the decision to grieve. Then he decided to plan some adventures. He planned train journeys across Australia in meticulous detail. He bought new camera equipment for the journeys and set himself the task of learning how to use his new gear. He planned the clothing he would need and set himself shopping excursions to gather all that he required. Every step of the journey before actually taking the trip was planned with great excitement and optimism. He made other decisions too. He decided he would live in his own home, cook his own meals, do his own shopping – right up until he turned 100. He even planned a budget to take him to 100! He embraced his decision and did everything in his power to get him to his goal. He achieved things that most people in their 90’s could never dream of – he was supported by a powerful Universe that always had his back. He knew it too!

So, what’s holding you back? Why not make at least one decision right now. Make it with powerful, emotively backed intention. Enjoy reaping the rewards!
