As you can probably imagine, I am fiercely committed to a lifestyle of personal and spiritual expansion. So, I ingest a LOT of information in that pursuit – from books to meditations to music to training and coaches. I am on the case!
I have been listening to an audio version of the book, ‘Thrive’ by Arianna Huffington. It’s a fabulous read and I highly recommend it. Her words are wise and yet they are not new. They are a reminder of just how simple it really is to thrive in life.
I got to thinking about my Grandad who died just 4 days after his 100th birthday. He died very happy, surrounded by people who loved him.
He knew how to thrive.
Even in his last breathe as I held his hand, I witnessed a man who was thriving. A man bathed in peace and love.

Over the coming weeks I would like to share with you my Grandad’s top 10 tips to being happy.
Every single one is so simple and as I am discovering, if we would apply the diligence, persistence and stickability to these simple life rules that we do to habits that do not serve us then life would feel SO much better.
Remember, you are POWERFUL!
The thoughts you think, the words you say and the actions you take create your future.
Your commitment to believing your nasty, mean and limiting thoughts is fierce and those thoughts are creating your life, in every moment.
Your commitment to keeping up appearances, pleasing others and putting everyone and everything before your own needs is relentless.
Your commitment to being in reaction to life and allowing your emotions to get the better of you is a deeply ingrained habit.
Today I invite you to CREATE NEW fierce and relentless habits!

10 STEPS TO HAPPINESS (in no particular order!)
1. Pray and be grateful
2. Have something fun to look forward to
3. Prioritise family
4. Eat well

7. Respect money
8. Exercise gently and move daily
9. Use your brain
10. Travel!
LET’S CREATE HAPPY HABITS!
Over the next 10 weeks I will elaborate on each of the 10 steps so that you can begin to create new habits, thoughts and behaviours that serve you.
Imagine committing to one new thing that can guarantee you happiness each week.
One new thing a week is easy and keeping it simple like that guarantees you success.

Sometimes it’s important to down tools, switch off devices and just BE. So this week I spontaneously booked a Spa Retreat on the coast – just one night which left me feeling as if I had been away for a week. I highly recommend treating yourself like this – I am filled with love and gratitude for myself as a result.
