Love Note – Cry. Hard. Joy is on the other side

Note to self…

 

If you feel sad and know you could do with a good cry, I invite you to honour those feelings.

 

You are allowed a down day!

 

Create a safe space to sit a cry. Sob and wail.

 

Remember, the feelings will pass. Feelings never last.

 

You are an energetic being, meaning you are always in a state of flow.

 

You are ever changing.

 

You can trust that your feelings will change.

 

Your assignment is simply to pass through the emotion. Feel it until you don’t feel it anymore.

 

Quit trying to dodge it through sophisticated avoidance strategies like work or shopping or food or tv or drugs.

 

Choose to sit in the feeling instead.

 

Have a good cry and let the feelings pass.

 

Feeling is your route to healing.

 

I promise you, you will feel better afterwards.
