A BATHING RITUAL
One of my absolute favourite things to do is to indulge in a luxurious bath. My husband may complain of the water bill (!!) but my bath-time rituals are a non-negotiable! So this weekend I invite you to create a sanctuary in your bathroom. It doesn’t matter how luxurious your bathroom currently is because candle-light will transform the space into an instant oasis.
So gather together anything that symbolises luxury and self care to you. Here’s some ideas:
Candles, flowers, bath oils, a bath pillow, soft towels, scrubs, lotions and potions, face mask, cooling eye mask, essential oil diffuser etc
My guilty pleasure is to prop my iPad up at the end of the bath, load up my latest box-set fix and relax in an oily hot hot hot bath with a glass of red. Oh pure joy!
I highly recommend a dry body brush followed by massaging your skin (you can focus on the dry areas) with organic sesame oil before getting into the bath. Your skin will thank you for it! After your bath, lovingly massage your entire body with organic coconut oil – OMG, divine!
Take time during your bathing ritual to spare some thoughts of love, gratitude and appreciation for your beautiful physical self. The home of your soul.
